The lenses are made from 100% recycled Poly Methyl Methacrylate, known as rPMMA-L. The source are display stands, optical waveguides and optical lenses.
With our sunglasses, you can enjoy both style and peace of mind. The 100% UV400 protection, eco-friendly materials, and nickel-free design make them a reliable and responsible choice for your eye protection needs.
What means post-consumer recycled sunglasses? In general it means the polycarbonate parts are made from recycled polycarbonate (rPC) car lampshades and water containers. Other frames are made from recycled polyester (rPCTG) originating from recycled bottles, bottle caps and food containers. The lenses are made from recycled PMMA (rPMMA) which comes from recycled display stands, optical waveguides and optical lenses. Post-consumer means the goods have been used before, are collected for the purpose of recycling and used so.
Metal parts are not recycled, which means for metal sunglasses only the lenses and temple tips can be made from recycled materials. On the product pages you can see which parts are made of what component.
